Mark Your Calendars for MeLCat Users Day, Nov. 4

Online registration is now available for the 2011 MeLCat Users Day, scheduled for Friday, November 4, at Causeway Bay in Lansing.  Participating MeLCat libraries are encouraged to send staff to keep abreast of the latest MeLCat developments; to share concerns, questions, and suggestions about MeLCat functionality, policies, and procedures; to network with other MeLCat staff; and to learn about future MeLCat enhancements. For agenda details and to register online, see: https://members.mcls.org/workshops/viewcourse.html?id=245

Please note that this year’s MeLCat Users Day event is limited to MeLCat sessions only and will not include MeL Databases updates.  For Michigan library staff interested in learning more about the new fall line-up of MeL Databases, MCLS has scheduled five sessions of the “What’s New in MeL 2011” online workshop (free to all Michigan schools and libraries). For workshop details, dates, and to register online, see: https://members.mcls.org/workshops/viewcourse.html?id=275 There will also be MeL Databases update sessions at the MLA Annual Conference in Kalamazoo and at MAME’s Annual Conference in Lansing.

If you need assistance with registration, please contact Heather Thomas (800-530-9019 x133 or thomash@mcls.org).

The MeL project is made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the State of Michigan through the Library of Michigan.
