On November 6, 2014, the Cooperative Directors Association, the Library of Michigan and the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) provided a program instructing and preparing librarians on interacting with the media.

It has never been more important for librarians to deliver a clear, consistent message to educate their constituents on the value of libraries, and in moments of crisis to effectively present themselves as community leaders. Robert Kolt, of Kolt Communications new-window-icon.png, facilitated a coaching session and interactive workshop.
