MCLS awarded Indiana LSTA grant for digital literacy

MCLS is excited and pleased to have been chosen as a recipient of a 2019 Indiana LSTA grant in the amount of $7,990 to support the development of digital skills and literacies of Indiana library staff. The grant project includes equipment for a mobile Chromebook Lab and five workshops that will be delivered throughout Indiana in early 2020. The workshops will provide training to library staff to support the development of a staff digital learning plan for their library. We are excited to have this opportunity to help Indiana library staff continue to build their digital literacy and skills.

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Indiana State Library.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 123,000 libraries and 35,000 museums. Our mission has been to inspire libraries and museums to advance innovation, lifelong learning, and cultural and civic engagement. For the past 20 years, our grant making, policy development, and research has helped libraries and museums deliver valuable services that make it possible for communities and individuals to thrive.
